Verse #089 of 220
Good morning, friends, as the first light of October 15, 2026, gently breaks across the sky. There is something comforting about these early hours, a quiet invitation to pause before the day unfolds with all its demands and surprises.
Today we turn to the tender words of Baruch 4:21: "Fear not, my children..." These simple yet profound lines feel like a parent drawing close during a storm, offering reassurance that reaches across centuries into our own lives.
Many of us wake with worries that feel heavy. Families balance rising costs and uncertain job markets while trying to provide stability for their children. Health concerns linger for some, whether personal or for loved ones, and the constant stream of global news about conflicts and climate shifts can make the future seem unsteady. Even quieter struggles, like loneliness in a connected world or the pressure to keep up on social media, quietly chip away at our peace.
Yet Baruch’s message reminds us we are not orphans in these moments. We are called children, held in a love that does not waver with headlines or personal setbacks. This hope does not deny the real difficulties; instead it meets us right where we are, inviting us to release what we cannot control into hands far steadier than our own.
This morning, take a few extra breaths with your coffee or during the drive. Notice the small mercies already present: the warmth of sunlight, a kind text from a friend, the simple fact that another day has been given. These gentle signs echo the same promise that fear need not have the final word.
As the hours move forward, may we carry this encouragement into every conversation and task, extending the same comfort we have received to those around us. Together we can walk with lighter steps, trusting that we are never alone.
