Verse #066 of 220
Good morning, friends, as the first light of September 20, 2026 gently touches the horizon. In these quiet early hours, I find myself reflecting on the simple yet powerful words from Isaiah: "...do not fear; let not your courage fail..."
Life right now feels heavy for so many of us. We wake to news of ongoing global tensions, shifting economies that make planning for the future uncertain, and the quiet struggles at home—perhaps a health concern for a loved one, pressure at work, or the simple exhaustion of balancing it all. It is easy to feel our resolve wavering when the day ahead already carries so much weight.
Yet this ancient reminder invites us to pause and breathe. Courage does not mean pretending everything is fine or never feeling afraid. It means choosing, even in small ways, to keep moving forward with trust. When we face a difficult conversation with a family member, or when anxiety creeps in about tomorrow's responsibilities, these words become an anchor. They remind us that fear does not have the final say.
Think about the moments that test us most: scrolling through headlines that highlight division, or carrying the private worries we rarely voice aloud. In those places, letting our courage fail would mean withdrawing or giving up hope. Instead, we are invited to stand steady, to offer kindness where it is needed, and to lean on the steady presence of faith that has carried people through far darker times.
This morning, may we carry that encouragement into our ordinary routines. A smile to a stranger, a moment of prayer before the rush begins, or simply acknowledging that we are not alone in our fears. The verse does not promise an easy path, but it promises that we need not walk it without strength. Let us hold fast to courage today, trusting that light continues to break through even the cloudiest skies.
Whatever you are facing right now, know that your heart can remain steady. Take heart, and step forward with quiet confidence.
