Verse #022 of 220
Dear friends on this journey of faith,
Today, July 13, 2026, we turn our hearts to the beautiful promise in Joshua 1:9: "...Do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you..." These words were spoken to Joshua as he prepared to lead his people, but they speak just as powerfully to us in our current times.
Life in 2026 presents many opportunities for fear to take root. We hear about ongoing international dialogues that affect global peace, economic fluctuations that impact household finances, and personal stories of health and well-being that touch us all. It's common to feel a sense of dismay when scrolling through updates or facing daily responsibilities that seem heavier than before.
However, the core message here is one of presence and support. God is not distant; He is with you in the morning light as you start your day, in the conversations with family and friends, and even in the silent prayers you offer at night. This companionship transforms how we approach challenges.
Think about the young adults stepping into new phases of life, perhaps starting careers or families amid changing societal norms. Or consider those in later years reflecting on their legacies while dealing with the pace of modern changes. In every scenario, the verse offers a gentle nudge toward courage.
By internalizing this truth, we find the strength to be hopeful and proactive. We can extend kindness, seek solutions, and rest in the knowledge that we are accompanied by the divine. Furthermore, connecting this to events around us, such as community efforts to support one another in times of need or the beauty of nature reminding us of God's creation, we see examples of hope everywhere. The verse isn't just for personal comfort but for inspiring collective resilience.
As you go about your day, carry this verse in your mind and heart. It will guide you through any moment of doubt or worry, leading you to a place of peace and assurance that all is well because God is with you.
