Verse #029 of 220
Hello friends, as July 12, 2026 unfolds with its mix of daily routines and unexpected challenges, I find myself turning again to these simple yet powerful words from Scripture. The twenty-ninth verse in our series is from 1 Samuel 12:20: "Do not fear..." Samuel spoke them to a people who had made mistakes and felt the weight of their choices, yet the message was one of invitation rather than condemnation.
Right now many of us carry quiet worries about rising costs, uncertain job markets, health concerns within our families, or the steady stream of global news that can leave us feeling unsettled. Fear often arrives dressed as realism, whispering that things are too far gone or that we have already failed too many times. Yet the verse gently redirects our gaze. It acknowledges the past without letting it define the future.
What strikes me most is how Samuel follows "Do not fear" with a call to keep serving the Lord with all our heart. This is not a denial of real difficulties but an encouragement to move forward in faith anyway. Whether you are facing a difficult conversation at work, caring for a loved one through illness, or simply wondering how to stay hopeful amid constant change, the same invitation applies. We can choose, one small step at a time, to keep our hearts turned toward love, prayer, and goodness.
Today let us remember that fear loses its grip when we remember we are not alone. Even after missteps, there is always space to begin again. May these words bring a quiet peace as you go about your afternoon, reminding you that hope remains within reach.
