Verse #171 of 220

Good morning, friends. As we step into this last day of June 2026, the words from Matthew 28:8 feel especially alive: the women left the tomb quickly, carrying both fear and great joy. What a beautiful picture of real life—never one emotion at a time, but often a mixture that tugs at our hearts. We know that tension well. Perhaps you’re waking up with worries about family health, the cost of living, or news from around the world that leaves you unsettled. Maybe a relationship feels fragile or your own future seems uncertain. The women at the tomb understood fear; they had seen suffering and loss. Yet the empty tomb changed everything, filling their steps with joy that could not be silenced. Today we are invited to walk the same road. Fear may still be present—about the economy, about division in our communities, about personal struggles we carry quietly—but the risen Christ walks with us. His victory turns our trembling into hope that something good is already unfolding, even when we cannot see it yet. Let this truth settle gently: you do not have to wait until every fear disappears before you feel joy. The two can travel together. Like those first witnesses, we can move forward quickly, bringing light into our workplaces, our homes, and our conversations because we know the story ends in life. Wherever this day finds you, may the empty tomb remind you that love has already overcome. Take a breath, step forward, and let both the honesty of your fear and the promise of joy shape how you love the people around you. You are not alone. #FearNot220 #171of220 #Catholic
