Verse #157 of 220
Good morning, dear friends. As we step into June 24, 2026, the words of Psalm 118:24 wrap around us like a gentle embrace: "This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Life moves quickly these days, and many of us wake up already carrying the weight of unfinished tasks, family worries, or the steady stream of news that feels heavier than usual. Yet this verse reminds us that today is not an accident or a burden to endure. It is a fresh gift, shaped by God's own hand and offered to us with love.
Consider the real moments we face right now. Perhaps you are navigating job changes brought on by new technology, sitting with a loved one who is unwell, or simply trying to find balance between screen time and the quiet spaces where peace can grow. In every one of these situations, the invitation stands: choose to see the day as God sees it—full of possibility, mercy, and quiet strength.
Rejoicing does not require us to pretend everything is perfect. It asks only that we notice the light breaking through. The first sip of coffee, the text from a friend, the way sunlight falls across the kitchen table—these ordinary graces become anchors when the world feels uncertain. Even on days marked by tension or loss, we can still whisper thanks and trust that God walks beside us.
So let us live this day with open hearts. Let us speak kindly, rest when we need to, and look for reasons to be glad. Whatever lies ahead this summer, we do not face it alone.
