Verse #083 of 220

Dear friends, on this June 20, 2026, many of us wake each morning to a world that feels heavy with uncertainty. Whether scrolling through headlines about global tensions, managing rising costs at home, or quietly worrying about a loved one’s health, fear finds easy ways into our days. The verse we reflect on today, the eighty-third in our journey, comes from Jeremiah 23:4: “...they need no longer fear...” God promises to raise up shepherds who will tend His people with such care that terror and scattering will end. The image is tender—lost sheep gathered, protected, and led home. We see echoes of this promise in our own lives. Parents wonder how to raise children amid cultural shifts. Workers face job changes and financial strain. Communities still carry the quiet fatigue left by recent years of illness and division. Yet the Lord continues to provide shepherds: faithful priests offering the sacraments, friends who listen with compassion, and the gentle interior guidance of the Holy Spirit. As Catholics we are especially blessed to recognize Christ Himself as the Good Shepherd who never abandons the flock. In the Eucharist we receive the very strength that calms anxious hearts. In confession we lay down burdens that have grown too heavy. In the rosary and daily prayer we remember that no one who belongs to Him will be missing. Today, let this ancient word become personal. When news unsettles you, pause and whisper the verse. When a child asks about the future, answer with the hope that God’s care is steady. When loneliness creeps in, reach for the community He has placed around you. You are not forgotten. You are not alone. The Shepherd is near, and His promise still holds: you need no longer fear. #FearNot220 #083of220 #Catholic
