Dear friends in Christ, As we journey through the rhythms of our daily lives, let us pause and reflect on the beautiful words from Psalm 98:4: 'Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song...' What a vibrant invitation this is! In the heart of our Catholic faith, we are called not just to whisper our praises but to shout them from the rooftops, to let our joy in the Lord resonate like a symphony across the world. Imagine the earth itself joining in this chorus—the mountains clapping their hands, the rivers singing melodies of praise, and we, God's beloved children, adding our voices to this divine harmony. This verse reminds us that worship isn't confined to the solemnity of the Mass or the quiet of our prayer corners. No, it's an outburst of gratitude, a celebration of God's endless mercy and love that permeates every moment. In these times when the world can feel heavy with worries—be it personal struggles, global uncertainties, or the daily grind—it's easy to let our songs fade into silence. But as followers of Christ, we are encouraged to break forth! Remember the joy of the Resurrection, the triumph of Easter that echoes in our hearts year-round. Think of the saints who, even in trials, lifted their voices in praise: St. Francis of Assisi composing his Canticle of the Sun amid illness, or St. Thérèse of Lisieux finding delight in the 'little way' of love. Today, I encourage you to make your own joyful noise. Sing a hymn as you prepare breakfast, hum a psalm while commuting, or gather with loved ones for an evening of prayerful music. Let your life be a song of praise. In the Eucharist, we unite with the heavenly choir, our voices blending with angels and saints in eternal adoration. Brothers and sisters, God doesn't demand perfect pitch or flawless melody; He desires our hearts, open and exuberant. As Pope Francis reminds us, joy is the mark of a true Christian. So, let us break forth into joyous song, not out of obligation, but from the overflowing love that Christ has poured into us. May the Holy Spirit ignite in you a fire of praise that warms the world. Let your joyful noise be a beacon of hope, drawing others to the light of faith. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. With prayers and blessings, Your fellow pilgrim in faith
