Verse #192 of 220

Dear friends in faith, as we journey through our #FearNot220 series, let's pause and reflect on the profound words of Psalm 21:1: 'In your strength the king rejoices, O LORD...' What a beautiful reminder that true joy springs not from our own might, but from the boundless power of our Heavenly Father! Imagine King David, the psalmist, facing battles, betrayals, and the weight of leadership. Yet, he doesn't boast in his own victories or strategies. No, he rejoices in the Lord's strength—the divine force that turns the tide, lifts the weary, and conquers the impossible. This isn't just ancient poetry; it's a living invitation for us today. In our modern lives, we all wear crowns of sorts—responsibilities as parents, professionals, students, or caregivers. We battle doubts, anxieties, and the storms of uncertainty. But here's the encouragement: We don't have to rely on our fragile human strength. God invites us to tap into His infinite power, the same that parted seas, raised the dead, and promises eternal life. Think about it—when was the last time you rejoiced in God's strength? Perhaps during a moment of answered prayer, a sudden peace amid chaos, or an unexpected grace that carried you through. These are glimpses of His might at work in our lives. As Catholics, we see this echoed in the sacraments: the Eucharist fortifies us with Christ's own body and blood, Confession restores our souls with merciful strength, and the Holy Spirit empowers us through Confirmation. Let this verse inspire us to shift our focus. Instead of dwelling on our weaknesses, let's celebrate God's unyielding strength. When fear whispers that we're not enough, remember: The King of Kings rejoices in the Father's power, and so can we. Surrender your burdens at the foot of the Cross; let His strength become your joy. Today, I challenge you: Identify one area where you're relying on yourself too much. Offer it to God in prayer. Watch as He transforms your striving into rejoicing. For in His strength, we find not just survival, but abundant life—victory over sin, hope in despair, and joy that the world cannot take away. May the intercession of Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, guide us to lean ever more on divine strength. Let us pray: O Lord, in Your strength we rejoice! Amen. #FearNot220 #Catholic #192of220
